Normal Lyrics[]

"At last we had set out on our journey towards the legendary Ivory plains,
where so many battles have been fought throughout the centuries.
But we knew in our hearts that we could not face evil alone. To seek the aid of the Dwarves
our path lead deep down into the caves at the foot of the Mithril mountains,
and in the firelit cavern a feast was held that lastet several days. Joined by the
sheer strength of the dwarves our army marched onward on our quest.
On midsummer's eve we crossed the dark forest of the Elves, a people of nature and beauty,
but also one of fierce power. Again they would join to fight by our side, to end the reign of
terror that lasted for a hundred years. As we now have gathered our resistance, we knew
there were still many perils to face before we finally would reach the setting
for our final battle...
"

Assembling our forces on our way to the plains

From the Mithril mountains dwarves join us from their mines

Through dwarven mines I lead an invincible army

Across Dragonland our warcries will be heard

As we journey onward heading for the home of the elves

A forest of magic a place of tranquil glades

Through elven woods nothing can stop us now

Across Dragonland we shall carry on

Axe wielding berserkers, the dwarves' might will serve the light

Arrowpoints of Mithril, elven scouts always hitting their prey

Axe wielding berserkers, the dwarves' might will serve the light

Arrowpoints of Mithril, elven scouts always hitting their prey

My knights, my dwarves, my elves will fight for our dream

The one, the twisted evil one will now be brought down to his knees (echo)

Assembled our forces, now we ride to the plains

With power and with magic there is no way we can fail

Through dwarven mines I lead an invincible army

Through elven woods nothing can stop us now, Haaaaaaaaaah!

Trivia[]

  • Name alternation
In the Translation Booklet, exclusive only to the Japanese release, it is written:
3. THROUGH ELEVEN WOODS AND DWARVEN MINES (5:32)
But oddly, at the end of the Translation Booklet there is a section labeled 《Nicklasによる解説》 (meaning Commentary by Nicklas. Note: under which reads "This album is a concept album. I will explain simply 1 song." in Japanese), where it is written:
Through elven woods and dwarven mines:

The イレヴン is translated as 'Eleven' because, Elven would be written as エルヴン. Also, some japanese sites of Holy War, list this song's name as The name is not incorrect as in Japanese, the ヴs (vs) and ブs (bs) are interchangable, for example if the word "wave" were to be written in wasei eigo it would be written as either ウェイブ, or ウェイヴ. Either way, since two writings of the song's name both have it as Eleven, this may have been intentional. but since in the Translation Booklet, its name is listed as "Through Eleven Woods...." in the numbered tracklist, but is listed as "Through elven woods...." in the commentary by Nicklas in the same booklet.
